RAI ... Unleashing the Power of the Internet
RAI ... The grassroots CALENDAR The grassroots CALENDAR® presents events on a "rolling" two year basis. This unique calendar can be maintained by multiple organizations, departments within an organization or personnel within a single organization or department. The database is instantly updated as each group or individual adds or deletes events, thus it is as up-to-date as the last data entry.

The Basics
A single large (enterprise) calendar displays composite data from a series of smaller (root) calendars. The grassroots Calendar Administrator may create any number of root calendars and assign Root Calendar Editors secure access rights to add, delete and modify events within their respective calendars.

Maximum Flexibility

  1. Events added to any root calendar are automatically added to the Enterprise Calendar.
  2. Calendar Administrators may create a nearly unlimited number of root calendars.
  3. Calendar Administrators assign secure access rights to Root Calendar Editors. Editors may add, delete and modify events on their root calendar.
  4. Event Locations may be added by both Calendar Administrators and Editors.
  5. Old events are automatically deleted from the database after 30 days.
  6. Events may be entered for nearly any number of years into the future ... the calendar allows user to display only the next 24 months events.
  7. Calendars are dynamically updated ... shows current month with next seven days highlighted.
  8. Events contain data entry cells for:
    • Name of Event
    • Location (look up ... locations may be added and updated ... Adminstrators may delete a location)
    • Dates (Start Date through End Date)
    • Type of Event: One Day Event, Extended Event, Weekly Event (select days of week or multiple days of week for weekly events)
    • Description (255 characters)
    • Fee (add fee, if appropriate)
    • Account (Administrators may assign event to any participating root)
    • Last Updated (Automatically generated .. date, time, and login id of person updating or creating the event)
  9. Administrators may apply Custom Settings to the Enterprise Calendar and optionally to each Root Calendar. Custom Settings include:
    • Calendar Name
    • header file (must be on same web root as the Calendar)
    • footer file (must be on same web root as the Calendar)
    • Text Heading Colors: Largest Heading, Second Largest Heading
    • Calendar Table Width: in pixels or % width
    • Calendar Table Header: cell color, text color
    • Calendar Table Dates: cell color, text color

    • Locations: Total Number of Locations in the database.
  11. Editor Status Screen (for each root calendar) shows:
